Ashburton Cookery School has an impressive heritage. It’s the leading cookery school in the South West, employs five full time chefs - and runs 43 cookery courses across three cookery schools. Having once welcomed clients primarily from London and the Home Counties, Ashburton Cookery School is still attracting attendees from the M4 and M5 corridor - with a significant number of local clients. The cookery school has contributed significantly to the prosperity of the town of Ashburton - and the local success story is important for the school. The school is now growing at a rate of 30 per cent year on year.

Ashburton inspires the opening of new London restaurant Assemblage

Ashburton Cookery School‘s championing of locally sourced and seasonal Devon food has inspired the launch of a new London restaurant by a former tutor and student at the cookery school.

29 year old James Pacheco-Knight from Exeter was a tutor at the cookery school last year when he met 26 year old Alicia Whitby from Taunton who was a student on the two day intermediate course. The pair have now gone on to set up the Assemblage restaurant which has just opened in Shoreditch which specialises in modern British and seasonal cuisine....
