Caryford is tops in Quest for excellence and customer care!

Outstanding customer care and a great team spirit are what make Caryford Fitness & Leisure Centre in Castle Cary one of the best performing leisure centres managed by Somerset Leisure Trust.

Caryford Fitness & Leisure Centre has received a score of 81% in the prestigious national Quest accreditation scheme which monitors standards across the UK leisure industry. 81% is Somerset Leisure’s highest score so far and who are also responsible for 12 other centres across Somerset.

The Manager of Caryford Fitness & Leisure Centre Sue Milligan says that the team at Caryford is absolutely thrilled to have gained such a top score in the Quest award scheme; “We are delighted to have scored so highly in what is a highly respected national accreditation scheme. We have a highly talented team here who are dedicated to helping our customers and to making the centre run as happily and smoothly as possible. Everybody worked hard to achieve the high standards for the audit which we continually work at and improve upon.”

Caryford was praised for its highly motivated and well-trained staff as well as the high standards of presentation and cleanliness at the centre. The team spirit and positive approach to customer care were also singled out along with the exceptional staff training and workforce development.

The Quest accreditation is the nationally recognised benchmark for customer care and leisure centre management in the UK leisure industry.

Under the award scheme, the centre underwent an intensive 2-day assessment focusing on all key areas of leisure centre management, including cleanliness, marketing, staff and business development and customer care. The award scheme also includes a mystery shopper exercise conducted from the customer’s perspective.
