Having cemented its footing in Preston, Petty’s has been approached to help Brainwave develop their presence in the north of Lancashire, assisting in not only providing property advice but bringing the business community together by hosting a number of charity lunches for premiere professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners to raise vital funds for this worthy cause.
The first event scheduled is for 10th May at Heathcoat’s Brassiere on Winckley Square in Preston where guest speaker is renowned businessman and former Chief Executive of Burnley Football Club, Paul Fletcher MBE. The event, open to local businesses and entrepreneurs is from 12.30pm – 2.30pm at a cost of £25 per person and can be booked by calling the Petty office on 01772 437202 or visiting the www.skiddle.com booking site.
Jody Lauder of Petty Commercial’s Preston office said “As soon as we were approached by Brainwave, we knew we had to support their work in as many ways as we could and what better way than bringing the business community together at an event where they will glean advice and networking opportunities but an event that raises money at the same time – it is a win-win situation.
“The charity does work for children across the region and has recently opened a residential centre in Warrington to serve the north from which their work provides spectacular development programmes for children through assisting parents in delivering achievable goals.”
Ian Smith from the charity said: “Brainwave has been working with families for 30 years to deliver individual home based therapies for children with disabilities or development delay so that they can reach their full potential. The children can have a range of disorders such as Cerebral Palsy,
Down’s Syndrome, Autism or one of many undiagnosed conditions and our therapy teams work with the families to make improvements at home which could be anything from sitting up or walking to recognising numbers or forming sentences”.
The work done by Brainwave has recently been recognised nationally for its help given to children and the Charity was recently featured on BBC’s Child Line whose video link featured Olly Murs, this can be viewed via Youtube at www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6pRTjylTFk “.
