A Head for PR is really excited! We have reached the semi finals of the Langtry Manor New Business of the Year Awards, sponsored by Nat West. This means we are being considered for a prestigious Finalist Award as one of five new businesses in the Dorset, New Forest and Hampshire that have made it into the semi finals. Judges will be considering the business acumen and planning behind each individual business and look at growth and how the business is perceived. We will of course be shouting from the roof tops if we get into the final three, but for now are really proud to have made it this far! Watch this space.....
You can read more about the awards at the Langtry Manor website.

A Head for PR started the month with the addition of two new clients. The prestigious Ashburton Cookery School, based in Ashburton, South Devon chose A Head for PR to carry out a targeted PR campaign that will raise the profile of this leading cookery school, launch its brand new Chef’s Academy and increase the sales of all 43 cookery courses that the School currently runs.
The second win is ProPoint Ltd, a new company based in Yeovil that specialises in building and cleaning services including brick re-pointing, graffiti and chewing gum removal. Our PR strategy will involve a targeted B2B campaign as well as a number of creative initiatives that will introduce the company to the end-user.

A Head for PR has launched its redesigned website. But don't take our word for it! Read the case study from Animalcarpet, the brains behind the most easy to use CMS ever! Here's what they say:
"The last thing that should get in the way of you doing work is the technology that's supposed to assist it, but that was exactly what was happening for Jane and Gail and their PR business in Dorset. Writing press releases on behalf of their growing client list was the easy bit, getting them published on their website was a whole different matter. They were struggling along with a Windows Live site that a friend had helpfully set up but the process of transferring copy to the site was taking far longer than it should - any sort of update to the site was a nightmare for them.
While Animalcarpet CMS could take care of most of their site requirements 'out-of-the-box' there were a couple of areas where bespoke components would greatly assist with workflow and solve the crucial issue of making site updates a simple and straightforward matter. Three new resource types were added to the Animalcarpet platform to cater for the specific needs of this business (but they have obvious wider application):
Press Release
Client
Case study
By using the business' client list as resource categories it was possible to associate content directly with business clients making it easier to search and to display client specific information, such as company logos and related content.
Adding press releases is now a straightforward process leaving them much more time to get on the important business of growing and servicing their client base.
If you are struggling with your website find out how an Animalcarpet CMS site could help you get on with running your business rather than running your website - just click on the link that you will find at the bottom of the A Head for PR home page.
