When a Half Term visit to the dentist is a fun day out for your child!
A Dorset-based dentist has reported a strange phenomenon, parents and children are flocking to its Gillingham practice Winning Smiles Dental Care over February Half Term because kids are not only treated for free, but are also seeing the visit as a fun day out!
The award winning dentist has set up play tents and tunnels in the reception area and is even showing free movies on its special Half Term Childrens’ Check Up Days. Winning Smiles believes that visiting the dentist should be fun for children and principal dentist, Murray Hawkins, came up with the innovative idea to help parents keep their kid’s teeth healthy and provide a fun day out. Murray says, “It’s February half term and the weather looks like being truly awful. Kids are going to get really bored. Taking them to the cinema to stop them going stir crazy can get pretty expensive these days so we decided to hold some dental fun days. These help parents because they don’t have to take their kids out of school to visit the dentist and it means that we can concentrate on making the visit a bit more fun for the kids taking the pressure off parents and ensuring their teeth remain healthy.”
