Sherborne’s local business network celebrates victory of charity jail breakers!
Sherborne’s popular local business network, the Early Bird Business Exchange (EBBX) celebrated with two “jail breakers” at its fortnightly meeting last Wednesday. Partners in crime were Darryn Knowles and Julie Grant from Yeovil IT and Cyber Security firm Blueloop who staged a highly successful charity Jail Break netting them a tidy £1667.50 for BBC ‘Children In Need’.
EBBX members contributed £185 towards the fund raiser which saw Darryn and Julie travel as far as Edinburgh and Dundee over a 36 hour period in a bid to get as far away from Blueloop House without using any funds for travel, food or accommodation.
Julie Grant commented, “We are delighted by the generous support that the group has given both for our recent fundraiser but also for the business opportunities that have been generated from joining the group.” Darryn Knowles added, “We strongly recommend other organisations attending as a guest to a breakfast meeting to experience the friendly and vibrant business forum.”
EBBX is a dynamic network group in Sherborne started by local business woman Angela Scott and has been running for several years. The group sets out to promote the exchange of ideas, contacts, referrals and knowledge. It also acts as a forum for the building of trust, friendships and business alliances that promote and support the interests of its members. With their interaction, it has become a vibrant forum for business and for the increase of contacts and prospects through friendly and enjoyable networking.
EBBX Sherborne meets every other Wednesday morning at Castle Gardens from 7am to 9am. More details of the next meeting can be found: sherbornebusinessexchange.co.uk
